Ana Bărbosu (18 years old), a European soil champion this year, ended the high school well and passed the baccalaureate exam, with an average of 9.68. For the gymnast in Romania, the move to the United States, at Stanford University, follows.
At the end of May, Ana Bărbosu participated with the Romanian gymnastics team at the European Gymnastics Championships, organized in Leipzig, Germany. The tricolors were ranked 4th in the team competition, but the ground bronze medalist from the Olympic Games qualified in 4 individual finals, parallel to the withdrawal of an opponent.
Barbosu had spectacular evolutions in all 4 finals and obtained 4 medals: one of gold (soil), one silver (beam) and two bronze (individual compound and parallel).

After the German competition, the 18-year-old athlete broke up with the rest of the lot and landed in Cluj-Napoca, where she left for Deva, she courses at the “Cetate” Sports Program High School.
Barbosu did not have time to celebrate the success of Leipzig, but immediately began the last preparations for the baccalaureate exam. In the week of June 9-15, the baccalaureate exam took place, and the results came at the end of this week.
The Romanian gymnast passed with a baccalaureate and obtained an average of 9.68information confirmed by the director of LPS “Cetate” Deva in some comments on a social network.
After graduating from high school, Ana Bărbosu will follow the departure in the United States, at the famous Stanford University. At the beginning of the year, she announced that she had received a scholarship from this university and will compete for Stanford Cardinal in NCAA.
The 18 -year -old athlete visited the campus of the American University and was impressed by what she found there.
“Everything was superlative: from the coaches who met me at the airport and the girls in the team. It looked like the whole environment was full of people trying to learn from anything. It seems like any information I received in any minute was something new and I had something new to accumulate from all the experience I had, “said Ana, according to the speaker.
