Victoraș Astafei (37 years old), one of the Romanian footballers, announced his withdrawal from football.
The football player who last evolved for ACS Târgu Mureș is determined to give up his career in football because of the way he was treated in the teams in Mureș county, Unirea Ungheni and ACS Târgu Mureș.

“At the moment, 99 percent I am out of total football! I came home, in Târgu Mureș, with the thought of helping, and I can proudly say that I have succeeded. From a sporting point of view, the ambition, the motivation and the confidence were at the highest level of my career.
I had promises of titles of honor and other things that have easily evaporated. I can say that I had a more than football merit in everything that was done in Ungheni and Târgu Mureș in the last period spent here.
I had the same promise at ACS Târgu Mureș, but everything broke down in just a few months. However, I wish this city to have a team in the near future that young people think they can build a future. After all, that's the idea. I hope, however, for the city to push the people who really deserve to lead and have the necessary motivation to help the football in this county, ”said Victoraș Astafei, according to liga2.ro.
Victoraș Astafei, a football player from Târgu Mureș, entered the big football in 2009 at the local team FCM Târgu Mureș. After a year borrowing at Arieșul Turda and another two years at FCM, the far left reached Gaz Metan Mediaș in the form of a loan.
After the loan's expiration he returned to Târgu Mureș, and in January 2013 he was purchased by Steel Galați. After a year and a half spent at the Danube bank he signed with Ploiești Oil. He followed a half -year experience in Adana Demiirspor, after which he returned to Petroleum. In the summer of 2016, Victoraș Astafei arrived at FC Botosani, and after a few months he left Selangor in Malaysia.
He returned for 6 months to Sepsi, and after he went abroad to Gorica in Croatia again. After that, experiences were followed in Romanian teams such as: CSM Tg Mureș, Viitorul Tg. Jiu, CSM Reșița, Unirea Ungheni, where he evolved 4 years and ACS Tg Mureș where he arrived in the winter of this year.
It has 307 career matches, 76 goals and 13 decisive passes. He won a single trophy in the 14 years of activity: Liga 2 of Croatia with Gorica.
