Newcastle agreed with Osasuna and real madrid for the transfer of winger Victor Munoz (22 years old), Spanish international about to participate in the World Championship. What do “los blancos” choose?
In the summer of 2025, Real Madrid sold Victor Munoz to Osasuna for 5 million euros.
The club from the capital negotiated some more advantageous clauses. For example, the possibility to buy back Munoz, in exchange for small sums, every summer that he is under contract with Osasuna.
For example, in this mercato he should have paid 8 million euros, the amount will increase from year to year as long as the clause is in force.
On top of that, Osasuna was obliged to inform Real Madrid of any offer coming in the name of the footballer, so that “los blancos” would have priority in a possible transfer.
The icing on the cake, Madrid kept 50% of the footballer's federation rights.
What Real Madrid negotiated for Victor Munoz: €15 million and a buyout clause
Now, at the end of the season, Newcastle showed interest in Munoz, and Real Madrid did not oppose the transfer. Instead, he negotiated with the English club and the footballer o buyout clause, valid only in Munoz's first season in the Premier Leagueaccording to Diario AS.
This means that if the wing footballer impresses in his first season on the Island, Real Madrid will have the opportunity to sign him in the summer of 2027, with Newcastle unable to resist.
The transfer also has immediate effects in Madrid. Real will receive 15 million euros, i.e. 50% of the total transfer amount. The remaining 15 will go to Osasuna, which thus made a profit of 200% compared to what it had paid in the summer of 2025.
A quick player who is always looking to outrun the opponent directly, Munoz impressed in Pamplona with 6 goals and 2 assists in 34 La Liga games.
