New X -ray scanning equipment in 13 border crossing points in Romania. How much did the scanners cost

15 X -ray scanning equipment used for non -destructive customs control, hand luggage and pallets were put into operation, the Romanian Customs (AVR) authority announced on Thursday.
The new equipment are located at the border customs offices: Galaţi-Giurgiuleşti, Oancea, Albiţa, Sculeni, Costeşti, Siret, Moraviţa, Iron I Gates, Constanta Sud, Halmeu, Otopeni Călatan, Cluj-Napoca and Post.
AVR states that the scanners were purchased as a beneficiary of the project “Developing the efficiency of the customs control activity of the Romanian Customs Authority”, totaling 17,183,300 euros.
The project is co -financed by the European Union as an authority granting the grant, represented by the European Commission, the financing being granted through the financial support instrument for customs control equipment.
