Doctors of the Krasnoyarsk inter -district clinical hospital No. 4 removed the patient a benign ovarian tumor size 30 by 40 centimeters. This was told in the regional Ministry of Health.
The day before, a 31-year-old woman with complaints of intense acute abdominal pain entered the reception department. It turned out that discomfort appeared after drinking alcohol, accompanied by one -time vomiting and fever. The patient noted that she had a similar condition back in September 2024 and in February of this year. Despite this, she was not examined, and her pain was healed on her own by the reception of analgesics.
After the exclusion of surgical pathology, the patient made an ultrasound of the pelvic organs and found a volumetric formation with a diameter of more than 30 cm, emanating from the right ovary.
The patient was urgently sent to the operation – removal of the uterine appendages along with a tumor out of them, twisted at the base. Remote liquid formation, cystadenoma, was a size of 40 by 30 centimeters, occupied the entire abdominal cavity, and the volume of its contents was 10 liters.
“If the patient regularly underwent preventive examinations and examinations in a gynecologist, the formation of the ovary could be detected at the initial stage. This would allow the planned organ -preserving operation. Provided that the patient has not yet implemented a reproductive function, the removal of the appendages reduced her reproductive potential by exactly 50 %, ”said Olesya Bochenkova, a obstetric-obstetrician-gynecologist.
On the eighth day after the operation, the patient was discharged home in satisfactory condition under the supervision of a female consultation.
