On Wednesday, the District Court in Płock acquitted Jacek K., the main of five accused in the trial regarding the abduction and murder of Krzysztof Olewnik. Jacek K. was a victim's close friend and business partner. The verdict is not final.


In the indictment, the Krakow branch of the National Prosecutor's Office accused Jacek K. in an organized armed criminal group. He also accused him of kidnapping Krzysztof Olewnik in October 2001 and keeping him to pay 300,000. euro ransom. The manner of detained was to connect with its special torment, and ultimately in September 2003 the man was murdered.
On Wednesday, the District Court in Płock was unlawfully two of the five accused in the trial regarding the kidnapping and murder of Krzysztof Olewnik. For bringing the victim's father to an unfavorable disposal of property, Andrzej Ł. He heard a sentence of 2 years in prison, and Mikołaj B. – 8 months suspended.
The other three accused – including the most important of them, Jacek K., who was accused of, among others Participation in an organized armed criminal group and the kidnapping of Olewnik – were acquitted.
Eugeniusz D., pseud. Gieniek. In the indictment, the Krakow branch of the National Prosecutor's Office accused him, like Jacek K., participated in an organized armed group that kidnapped Krzysztof Olewnik.
Grzegorz K., a former local government from Sierpc, was also acquitted. The use, in order to achieve the financial benefit of the emotional state and the location of Włodzimierz Olewnik, i.e. the abducted father, and to provide him with false information and to extort 160 thousand. zloty.
The Płock court, on the other hand, sentenced Andrzej Ł. To two years imprisonment suspended for five years for bringing Włodzimierz Olewnik to an unfavorable disposal of property. It was by over 120 thousand PLN and false assurance about the possibility of releasing the kidnapped.
Mikołaj B was sentenced to the same crime for eight months suspended to three years. In his case, among others for transferring 13 thousand PLN and misleading as to the possibility of identifying the login places of the phone used by the perpetrators of the abduction.
The trial regarding the abduction and murder of Olewnik began before the Płock District Court in March 2022. The case files had over 400 volumes. Already during the first hearing, Jacek K. did not confess to the alleged acts, and described the allegations as absurd. In the final speech he asked the court for thorough analysis of the evidence and the issuance of a fair judgment. (PAP)
