As the Polish National Foundation informed PAP on Tuesday, she submitted two separate notifications to the National Prosecutor's Office about the possibility of committing crimes to the detriment of the foundation by its former management.

The first notification concerns failure to comply with duties and exceeding the rights when working on a film about Merian C. Cooper and the Kościuszko Squadron. “The Foundation estimates that in connection with the indicated actions of the former management of the Foundation, there was a large amount of damage, i.e. in the amount of USD 1.3 million, which gives about PLN 5 million,” it was indicated in the press release.

Information on irregularities in the design of a biographical film about M. Cooper, as noted, was provided to the public in “a number of independent publications”. “The Foundation will not refer to all disclosed details due to the need to ensure the correct course of proceedings. However, identified irregularities confirm the thesis about the gross neglect of the former board and actions against the interests of the Foundation” – emphasized.

The second notification concerns the failure to comply with duties and exceeding the rights in connection with the Foundation's cooperation project with the American Law entity, which was to be responsible for organizing activities in the USA. “The estimated damage at the time of submission of the notification amounted to at least PLN 400,000. The Foundation conducted audit activities in the area of supervision over the implementation of individual projects in the United States of America,” wrote in the information.

“The documentation owned by the Foundation indicates a high probability of unreliable implementation of many activities in the US and in particular supervision over their performance/financing. The Foundation also does not have reliable documentation confirming the correct performance of actions financed by the Foundation in the USA. In connection with the above, the Foundation is a much higher. Identified irregularities. comprehensive carnival assessment ” – added.

Both notifications include 2017-2021. The Foundation does not exclude submission of further notifications to law enforcement agencies due to “successively disclosed irregularities”. “Due to the good of the victim – the Polish National Foundation and its interests, including property, at the moment we will not present the details of the complex notifications. The foundation's aspiration is to fully fix the damage suffered and determining the full circle of responsible persons” – pressed in the press release.

“Notifications are addressed to the National Prosecutor's Office due to the nature of the case and its social importance, as well as due to the scope of damage exceeding the ceiling referred to by the Penal Code several times in great size. The matter is particularly important in the social perspective, because the funds spent by the Foundation come from the founders – state -owned companies. law enforcement agencies in connection with the disclosure of a number of irregularities that former members of the Foundation's Management Board could commit, “it was indicated.

Deputy Minister of Culture Maciej Wróbel noticed that PiS founded the Polish National Foundation as “a propaganda tube financed by State Treasury companies”. “Today, the new board of the Foundation has made further reports on its predecessors. It is about PLN 5 million, which was spent on a film, which was never made. And PLN 400,000 is money that is difficult to prove. This is not to prove. These are no counts, this is no retaliation, this is justice. Portal X Wróbel.

The Polish National Foundation was established in November 2016 by the decision of the then Prime Minister Beata Szydło. It was founded by 17 state -owned companies. The foundation's task was to promote the image of Poland abroad. (PAP)
