An agreement on the expansion of communication infrastructure on the territory of Tuva, the development of tourism and improving security in the urban environment and the economy was concluded by Megafon and the Government of the Republic of Tuva.
The document was signed by the Director General of Megafon Khachatur Pubukhchan and the head of the region Vladislav Khovlyg at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum – 2025.
The next three years, the operator, with the support of the Tuva government, will continue to increase the telecom-infrastructure coverage area in the republic: the connection and Internet Megafon will first appear in small inaccessible settlements. In addition, new fiber-optical communication lines will be laid to improve the quality and reliability of the network, additional LTE layers are deployed, and if necessary, satellite communication channels will be involved in remote areas.
The agreement also involves the introduction of new digital solutions in various sectors of the economy, in the field of safety and comfort of the urban environment. The capabilities of the analytical tools of Big Data Megafon will help in the development of the tourism infrastructure of the republic.

The government, in turn, will provide consulting support and assist in the implementation of pilot projects. We are actively cooperating with other communication operators, because the presence of mobile Internet helps residents of Tuva to quickly and comfortably solve many issues without leaving home, ”commented the head of the Republic of Tuva Vladislav Khovlyg.
