The National Prosecutor's Office received notifications on disclosure of recordings from operational control; One from Roman Giertych, the other from the CBA – the National Prosecutor's Office said on Tuesday. They concern the recordings of Giertych's conversations, among others with Donald Tusk. The next stage of the case will be dealt with by the prosecutor's office in Bialystok.

“The National Prosecutor's Office received two notifications about the suspicion of committing a crime of disclosing materials from surgical control,” said spokesman prosecutor Przemysław Nowak on Tuesday afternoon. He added that they apply to published since June 13 this year. recordings of conversations with the participation of, among others Giertych.

The case concerns disclosed in recent days by Television WPOLSCE24 and TV Republic recording of a fragment of Giertych's conversation with Tusk from 2019.which concerned, among others Electoral and negotiations with the then head of PO Grzegorz Schetyna on the start of Giertych in the parliamentary elections.

The spokesman of the PK emphasized that the notifications in this case that they submitted Giertych and the CBA would be forwarded to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Bialystok – as Prosecutor Nowak said – “in order to appoint a prosecutor's unit competent for their procedural examination.”

According to prosecutor's information, Nowak also shows that Giertych accused the CBA officers of the unlawful Pegasus software in 2019 to record its conversationsincluding with Donald Tusk, and the transfer of these recordings to unauthorized persons – which he qualified as an abuse of power by a public official and unlawful obtaining information. In addition, Giertych accused TV journalists of the Republic of publishing these materials, which he considered a crime of revealing unlawfully obtained information.

On the other hand The CBA submitted a separate notification in the same case, but covered by the secrecy clause – its content was not disclosed by PK.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Jacek Dobrzyński said on Tuesday evening that the CBA notification concerns the disclosure of classified information and the dissemination of information from the preparatory proceedings. “The notification concerns the possibility of disclosing operational materials made available in 2020 to the then national prosecutor and recently published in some media” – wrote on platform X Dobrzyński.

The PK spokesman also reminded that the investigation regarding exceeding the rights and failure to comply with public officials in connection with the use of Pegasus software as part of operational control is conducted by investigating team No. 3 of the National Prosecutor's Office. In this investigation, Roman Giertych has the status of the victim.

According to Giertych, who referred to the CBA statement in this matter, his conversations were to be destroyed because they did not contain any content of criminal character. Meanwhile – as he noted – copies of the recordings have been taken before the change of power and are currently used political by PiS people. (PAP)
