Mitrofan Navoznik

The Orthodox Church honors on this day the memory of St. Mitrofan, Patriarch of Constantinople, who lived in the 3-4 centuries.

In the people's nickname, Mitrofan – Navoznik – there was nothing offensive to the saint. On the contrary, peasants have always been respected by manure – as a pledge of the future crop. The land must be fed on Mitrofan.
