Erdogan offers mediation between Israel and Iran. Türkiye will do “everything necessary”


President Erdogan stated during a press conference that Türkiye is ready to do “everything necessary”, including the role of a mediatorto alleviate regional tensions in the face of the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran.
Earlier, he gave this offer to the President of Iran Masud Pezeszkian, saying that Ankara could play a role in an attempt to return to nuclear negotiations and the end of the fighting from Friday.
Erdogan talked to Putin
Erdogan also had a conversation on Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, to whom he repeated that the only crisis solution is to return to talks about the new nuclear agreement – said the office of the Turkish president.
Cited by the Reuters agency The Kremlin confirmed that both leaders condemned Israel's attack on Iran and called for immediate cessation of hostilities. “The leaders were in favor of immediate cessation of hostilities and a solution to disputes, including those related to the Iranian nuclear program, only diplomatic means,” the Russian authorities said.
Israel began massive attacks on Iran on Friday morning, claiming that their goal is nuclear and military facilities. The Prime Minister of Israel Binjamin Netanyahu said that day that Iran has enough enriched uranium to build nine atomic bombs. Iran called the attack “Declaration of War” and responded with air rockets on Israel, in which 24 people were killed.
