
Ukrainian restaurateur and culinary blogger Vladimir Yaroslavsky on Instagram on December 23 told how to prepare choux pastry for dumplings.
Products
- 500 g flour;
- 5 g salt;
- 225 g boiling water;
- 1 egg;
- 20 ml vegetable oil.
Preparation
- Add salt and vegetable oil to the flour.
- Pour boiling water and immediately knead the dough with a spatula.
- Beat the egg with a fork and add to the dough. Continue kneading with your hands. The dough will be uneven and stiff at first, but will soon become soft.
- Once the dough is ready, leave it under cling film for 30 minutes to rest.
- After 30 minutes, form dumplings.
According to Yaroslavsky, the dough according to this recipe turns out to be incredibly elastic, and the dumplings made from it do not become soggy and tolerate freezing well.
