June 16, 1884
On this day, the Amur Governor General was established. The Amur Region also entered it. The residence of the Governor General was located in Khabarovsk. Four years later, by another imperial decree in the Amur Region, the Amur district was formed, which included the lands of the future EAO.

Elections were held to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Among those elected to the highest body of state power were the Communists: L. B. In the “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) for June 16, 2010, an article was published on the first page in the column “Awards” about the establishment of a new regional award – the honorary title “Honored Mentor of Youth of the Jewish Autonomous Region”.
The resolution on the assignment of an honorary title was signed by the governor of the region A. Vinnikov.
In accordance with regional legislation, this honorary title is awarded to residents of the EAO for a great contribution to the formation of moral and patriotic values, professional youth skills.
The honorary title “Honored Mentor of Youth of the Jewish Autonomous Region” was awarded: the teacher of the singing of the MOU “Secondary Educational School of the village of Amurzet” N. N. Babyak, deputy director for educational work of professional school No. 1 of Birobidzhan G. N. Borodulina, chormaster of the House of Culture of the Post. The Amursky Smidovichi Municipal District L. M. Bragin, a teacher of additional education of the municipal educational institution of additional education for children “House of schoolchildren, Leninskoye” A.P. Zaboedov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Interior “Birobidzhansky” V.V. Iskevich, director of the municipal general education of children “Center for children's creativity” Municipal Education “Birobidzhansky Municipal District” G. N. Konnova, physical education teacher of the MOU “Secondary school No. 2 of the village of Nikolaevka” A.A. Panchenko, Chairman of the Public Organization of the All-Russian Society of the Obluchensky District, E. G. Popova, coach-public organization Kiokushinkai Karate D.V. Pothekhin.
Since 2010, the honorary title of “Honored Mentor of Youth of the Jewish Autonomous Region” has been received by many worthy residents of the city and regions of the region.
