Bibi chose the moment of attack on Iran. Now he can start his great war

Now the unprecedented and so far a very effective offensive of Israel against Iran, aimed at both mullad nuclear objects and the highest levels of military and intelligence command, causes the effect of unification around the flag.
Bibi undoubtedly rightly predicted that this would happen.
The leaders of the opposition and coalition parties are united in what should be considered the first chapter of the war, which Netanyahu fought for most of his political career – a war that the Israeli armed forces and interview planned long and tedious, reaching up to two decades back.
Just like last year, when Israel made a spectacular assassination attempt to the leaders of Hezbollah – the Shiite combat group in Lebanon, which serves Iran as the main regional ally – humiliating her by the liquidation of its leader and the highest commanders and the destruction of more than half of her huge rocket and rocket arsenal, the same time.
Even some of the most prominent Bibie critics who would prefer not to pay attention to him and have long wanted him to leave, did not delay with expressing support for a preventive attack on Iran. How could they not do it, even if they have some doubts as to where Israel will eventually lead the endless Bibi wars and whether his efforts to transform the region will not prove to be arrogance in the long run.
The opposition leader Jair Lapid blessed the “security force”. Centryst Benny Gantz, who left Netanyahu's war in 2024, published a prayer recited every week in synagogues for the good of Israeli security forces, adding at the end: “We are all united against our enemies.”
Jair Golan, leader of leftist Democrats, said: “A strong nation, a determined army and back support – this is how we always won and we will win today.” Awigdor Lieberman, leader of the right -wing party of Israel Bejten and a former deputy prime minister, who last week criticized Netanyahu for arming criminal militia, which transformed into clans opposite Hamas in the Gaza Zone, quickly published in social media: “Eternal nation is not afraid”.
Netanyahu is widely accused of manipulating Israelis to believe that the conclusion of an agreement ending the fight in the Gaza Strip would expose Israel to an existential threat on its borders. Many Israelis, including the prime ministers of Ehud Olmert and Ehud Barak, and former intelligence bosses such as Yakov Peri, do not agree with Bibi in this matter and believe that he manipulates and extends the war in the Gaza Strip to maintain their power. They also complain that Bibi is a war instigator and is unable to play the role of a conciliator.
However, when it comes to Iran's nuclear program, there is widespread consent among the Israelis that Chamenei's regime with nuclear weapons would be a real threat to the existence of the Jewish state.

Ayatollah Ali Chamenei giving a television speech in Tehran, Iran, June 13, 2025.
“The attack on Iran has become inevitable”
Of course, success raises success. Who will publicly criticize Netanyahu for the achievements of the Israeli armed forces and intelligence services so far, which led to: killing the four highest leaders of the Islamic revolutionary guard of Iran (IRGC), the commanders of Iranian Air Force and half a dozen of the leading nuclear scientists, hitting the Iranian base of ballistics and further destruction. And so the weakened air defense of the country and damage to Iranian Nuclear Production Plant, although it is not yet clear to what extent.
“The attack on Iran has become inevitable,” said retired General Jossi Kupasser, a former member of the Israeli negotiating team for the Iranian nuclear program, and currently the head of the Institute of Strategy in Jerusalem.
– Tehran openly rejected the American proposal and refused to cooperate with Maea [Międzynarodową Agencją Energii Atomowej] in the scope of providing information. In the meantime, he gathered large amounts of highly enriched uranium and began work on its use for military purposes – he said.
Trump may also have doubts as to the effects of the Bibi war with Iran and the reactions of the Arab Gulf countries. Hence, the Secretary of State Marco Rubio hurriedly assured the world that the United States was not involved in the attacks and emphasized that Israel's decision was unilateral.
However, if Trump was completely opposed, he could express his opinion much more openly, both privately and in public, as other US presidents towards Israeli leaders did when they opposed the will of Washington. Trump seems to be happy that he did not expose himself too much – making it clear that he prefers to talk to Iranians than war, but well, they are guilty of themselves.
And again success raises success.
Iran's strategic error
As we know, Trump hates losers. Bibi now looks like the winner. Trump is ready to use Israel's strength to force Iran to comply with and conclude a nuclear agreement, which will be satisfactory for him. Will this happen, it turns out when Iran, who responded to a limited extent attack, decided to shoot ballistic rockets, drawing the United States in defense of Israel. The wars have a nasty habit of getting out of control and causing effects that no one predicted.
From the perspective of Iran, Trump conducts a double game, which can harm the prospects of nuclear negotiations.
“In Iran's opinion, it is not possible for Netanyahu to operate without green light from the US,” said Ellie Geranmayeh from the European Council of Foreign Relations.
She added that an Israeli attack can strengthen the position of hard -headed in Tehran.
“Over the past year, an internal debate has been pending in Iran about whether the country made a strategic mistake, not reacting sharper to the previous attacks of Israel,” said Geranmayeh.
The problem for Iranian harden, however, is that Israel has a much better military position. The Iron Dome air defense system, American and Jordanian help and Israel's intelligence advantage seriously limit Iran's capabilities. After such a severe blow to Hezbollah, it is unlikely that Iran can count on significant support from his Lebanese allies.
Torn paper tiger with broken claws
And because the weakness and incompetence of the Iranian regime are disclosed every day to his own citizens, a more important question arises: Will the nuclear agreement satisfy Bibie?
Certainly his ambitions are much greater – namely the final destruction of the theocratic regime in Iran and the creation of conditions for changing the regime. Over the years, he made it clear that his goal was to weaken the clergy leaders in Tehran, raising this topic last year, when he started the campaign against Hezbollah. The strategy of cutting off the head of leaders acted in Lebanon, daring it to think in large categories about the transformation of the Middle East in favor of Israel.
– said Matthew Savill from the British Think Tank Royal United Services Institute.
The destruction of Hamas and Hezbollah and the unmasking of their sponsor, Iran, as a torn paper tiger with broken claws, would somewhat rehabilitate Netanyahu for shortcomings in the field of security, for which many Israelis blames him in connection with the massacre of October 7, which Hamas made.
To survive, the best friend of the Iranian regime may be the offer of the agreement presented by Trump. All you have to do is sign.
