The president of CJ Harghita says that to blame salinity in Târnava Mică is the company employed by Salrom for the works from Praid
The president of the Harghita County Council, Bíró Barna-Botond, claims that the company working in Praid for the deviation of the Corund stream carried out works that led to salinity in the Târnava Mică river and requires urgent measures and responsibilities to avoid an ecological catastrophe in the area.

Botond said on Wednesday evening, for Agerpres, that the company, contracted by Salrom, would have torn down the two dams built on the recommendations of the international experts and diverted the stream into a bypass that had no waterproofing, and the water that crossed the salt massif has increased salinity in the Târnava river.
According to the president of CJ Harghita, there are three possibilities to solve the situation from Salina Praid, the first being the removal of the general director Salrom and the general director from the Romanian Waters.
“I cannot solve the situation”
Botond considers that the problem of all who have a certain responsibility for what happened cannot be entrusted.
“I have nothing with them, because I do not know them. But strictly managerial, the people who have responsibility, I do not know how much, but they have, for the existing situation they cannot solve the situation.”said Biro.
The second variant, in his opinion, would be that, by government decision, the inter -ministerial commission constituted following the crisis situation in Praid should be empowered with increased duties and clear responsibilities.

The third variant of resolution, considers the president of CJ Harghita, would be to declare the state of emergency in Praid, so that by military order all the responsibilities and tasks in a single decision center are centralized.
“This is what I saw from the first day: that we have no clear responsibilities, clear tasks (…) and we can not take a step forward. (…) No urgent, clear, consistent decisions can be made, with clear responsibility, because some of the responsibility is to several entities. (…) I see the three variants to be able to solve the situation. Praid, compared to the community in Mureş county, towards the state institutions and now has to regain the confidence of the people “, stressed the president of the Harghita County Council.
