The leader of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, explained on Thursday night at Antena 3, that he did not refer to couple therapy, during the negotiations for governance when the discussions were lit. Kelemen admitted that the discussions were lit, but the content of the discussions has reached the press inaccurate.
The details of Kelemen Hunor come in the context in which the information came to the press that, at Wednesday evening discussions at the Victoria Palace, the UDMR leader would have invited MEP Cristian Ghinea (USR) and the Minister of Health Alexandru Rafila (PSD), who had a hard dispute, to follow “therapy”.
The UDMR leader claims that he did not use the phrase, but a representative of the USR, but the information has become wrong in the press.
“It was a fierce discussion and some wanted to stop the colleagues who had this controversy and I said at one point that they should not stop, because there are many things to be discussed, they must be said. I am animosities, I am not a group psychotherapist, but let them talk. I need this couple therapy.
The UDMR president admitted that the main difficulties in reaching a government agreement are related to fiscal measures.
“This government that follows I hope that in a few days (…) it must show that it is a straight, fair governance and not only puts pressure on citizens and economy, but also on the central administration, and on local administration, and where there are extravagant things, extravagant expenses,” added Kelemen Hunor.
Attack from the UDMR to the social-democrats: “Do the thing with rotary … it would agree!”
Kelemen Hunor was asked at what stage the negotiations for Government formation, on a scale of 1 to 10.
“Somewhere about 7-7.5 to 8. There are many issues where you have seen no divergences. So, the governing program, largely, on socio-economic chapters, is written. Some aspects must be discussed politically. This has not heard anything, because things went relatively quickly,” the Union leader replied.
