“There are some recommendations from international financial institutions, even from the Commission (European Commission – no), please look at what the IMF said two or three days ago, the IMF recommendation to have a progressive tax in Romania. It is a recommendation that the World Bank and the IMF and the European Commission have. I understand that we have to stay among the last states … There are 27 states in the EU, only four have left with this type of tax, which we have, Romania, Bulgaria and Estonia. He added that if this measure was implemented, VAT would no longer need.
