300 Russian fishermen were carried away to the Sea of Okhotsk on an ice floe. They refuse to evacuate, because they do not want to lose their catch and gear
The 10-meter crack was formed on ice in the area of the village of Malki on Sakhalin, separating a large group of winter fishing lovers from civilization. Some of the fishermen managed to force a break, but the majority remained on the ice.
At the moment, employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are conducting a rescue operation. It is clarified that 44 people were removed from the ice by the Mi-8 helicopter, another 65 were taken out in boats.
But many refuse to leave so simply – They do not want to throw their catch and fishing gear.
UPD: Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergencies evacuated all the fishermen who drifted on a torn ice flock along the Sea of Okhotsk in the Sakhalin Region.
