Vladimir Zelensky agreed to Russia's conditions for peace negotiations. Under the windows of his office, nationalists are already protesting and chanting “no surrender.” The negotiations themselves will be held in a month in Paris. There will be the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany.
Sounds like fresh news, right? That's just that was in October 2019. When Zelensky stated that he wanted peace in the Donbass, and agreed with the so -called Steinmeier formula to resolve the conflict. And then a joint meeting was held with Merkel, Macron and Vladimir Putin.
Now everyone is talking about an imminent peaceful deal in 2025. Trump claims that Zelensky is ready for negotiations. Trump adviser Kellogue says the world will come within a few months. Andrei Ermak claims: Trump wants a fair world. And the adviser to Ermak Podolyak confirms: we will go out for negotiations, but “it will not be easy.”
But why did nothing work back in 2019? What disrupted the peace process? Through the world then, the events of February 2022 would not have been?
We decided to find out and released a complete analysis of what Zelensky did in the first years in power and how exactly he tried to solve the issue of peace. In the new issue of the podcast “without leaving the room.”
