During the Gaokao – Chinese maturity exam – some applications and chatbots were turned off in the country to prevent download – Bloomberga agency told on Monday. Gaokao, referred to by the media in China as the most difficult exam in the world, passed 13.4 million students this year.

Frozen were, among others functions of the most popular chatbots of Alibaby and Tencent, such as photo recognition. Although not all chatbots blocked this service, they refused to answer questions from the test sheet. Asked for clarification, chatbots replied that “the function could not be used during the testing period to ensure integrity (PAPs – PAP) preliminary exams for studies” or that the photo of the sheet is “incompatible with the rules”.
The high result of Gaokao is the only way to get to the best national universities in China. The exam includes subjects such as Chinese literature, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, politics and history.
The American CNN station announced that in Beijing the road police during tests from 6 controlled car traffic, especially near schools, and taxi headquarters began to take orders for delivery to school a week before Gaokao.
This year, a record number of students took the exam, and the specter of slowing down the economic growth of China and the growing unemployment among young people further increased the pressure associated with the need to achieve high results. The test is considered extremely important, especially for young people from smaller cities and families with lower income. An insufficiently good result could mean another year in high school or close the desired future in front of the teenager, and a high result – open the door to his career, social prestige and material well -being.
