The United States Supreme Court dismissed Mexico, on June 5, filed against leading firearms in the USA. The lawsuit argued that the business practices of these companies led to huge violence and bloodshed from cartels.

According to a unanimous decision of the Supreme Court, the case was dismissed on the basis of American regulations, which largely protect weapons producers against responsibility when their firearms are used in crimes.

The judges decided that Mexico did not present reliable arguments that companies consciously allowed weapon trade in this country.

A lawsuit against the largest American weapons producing companies, such as Smith and Wesson, Beretta, Colt and Glock, was submitted in 2021 by the Mexico government.
