Mexico's president, message for Donald Trump, after Los Angeles incidents: “There are no criminals”

Mexico's president Claudia Sheinbaum asked the United States on Sunday not to treat migrants as criminals, a statement made following Los Angeles raids during which she confirmed, 35 Mexicans were arrested, AFP reports.
“Mexicans living in the United States are (…) honest men and women who have come to look for a better life and to maintain their families. They are not criminals,” she said in a public discourse.
Police officers with headphones and dressed in anti-revolt equipment faced protesters in the center of Los Angeles on Friday night, after a day of federal raids against immigration in which dozens of people were detained, notes Reuters and EFE.

Los Angeles City News Service (CNS) and other local media reported that dozens of people were arrested during the Immigration raid, most recently in a series of such checks in several cities, as part of the extended repression by President Donald Trump against illegal immigration.
The President Republican has promised that he will arrest and deport the illegal migrants in unprecedented numbers.
