The newspaper “Birobidzhanskaya Star” (12+) on June 8, 1947 wrote that the District Cinema Department was held by the collective farm cinema festival (12+). Films were demonstrated by three hospitals and two sound engines. A total of 91 sessions took place, which were attended by 8286 people. In addition, 18 light newspapers were demonstrated, in some cases, conversations or reports preceded sessions.

Reference: In the late 1920s-early 1930s, the original way of demonstrating the transparencies, called the “Light Gazeta”, was widespread in the working clubs of the Soviet Union, a series of transparencies associated with a general scenario with short inscriptions-titers. On June 8, 1982, a newspaper of the Oktyabrsky District Oktyabrsky District wrote that a meeting of state farms, engineering services and feeders, on which issues of feed production, was held in the Amurzet.
The preparations for the feed season were told by their farms – Director of the border state farm V.V. Pimenov, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Amur state farm N.A. Mikryukov, driver of the collection of the Stolbovsky state farm A. A. Zimin and others.
At the meeting, district socialist obligations of feeders were adopted. The meeting participants visited the border state farm, where they got acquainted with the device and the principle of operation of the installation for harvesting hay by active ventilation.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the regional committee of folk control N. M. Kostikov and the deputy chairman of the regional committee of the people's control A.A. Belyakov.
In the same newspaper, an artist of the People’s Theater s. Amurzet E. Aizenstat spoke about the formation and development of the theater in the village of Amurzet.
In 1935, a club was built in the village, in which a dramatic circle was created under the direction of the head of the club Merov. The club staged good performances. Time passed, the team of artists grew, and in 1961 he was awarded the title of “People's Theater”. In 1962, a new serious play was staged.
Theater artists showed a lot of good, interesting in the content and production of work. The theater team often performed on the field camps with productions, went to hayfields, to clean bread in the villages of the district, and took part in regional shows several times.

On June 8, 1988, the Birobidzhan Zvezda newspaper wrote that in September 1987, the first cooperative for sewing the lights “Silhouette” was opened in Birobidzhan.
She led Antonina Nikolaevna lived at that time. At first, in the cooperative there were only four people: an accountant-receiver, a cutter, two masters, a little later, two more people hired. For each client, a personal pattern was made according to its specific parameters.

In the newspaper Birobidzhan Zvezda, on June 8, 1990, the results of the All -Union Census of 1989 in the Jewish Autonomous Region were published. According to the final data, the population in the EAO as of January 12, 1989 amounted to 215.9 thousand. Over the ten years that passed after the 1979 census, the population increased by 25.7 thousand (by 13.5 %).

The urban population increased by comparison with 1979 by 12.8 thousand or 9.9%, and rural – by 12.9 thousand or 21.3%.
In the region, the number of people who are married – from 92.6 thousand in 1979 to 104.9 thousand in 1989.

The level of education has increased in the region. The proportion of the occupied population in its total number over 10 years decreased from 54.4% to 51.8%. The level of employment among the population at working age decreased from 88.6% in 1979 to 86.9% in 1989.

The newspaper informed that the first delegation of American professors from New York University visited Birobidzhan at the invitation of the State University. Professor Miriam Dorn, Martin and Esther Marin and Sheram Hersh visited kindergartens, schools, and the Palace of Pioneers. They met with teachers of the city, students and journalists.

American guests expressed a desire to help the formation of a higher school in the region. In order to further develop children's sports in the Jewish Autonomous Region, the governor of the region N. M. Volkov adopted a resolution on the holding in Birobidzhan from June 5 to 900 of the Far Eastern Festival of Children's Sports “Sholom – 2000” (6+).
The newspapers “Birobidzhan Star” and “Birobidzhaner Stern” (12+) on June 8, 2000, on their pages, wrote about the Far Eastern Festival of Children's Sports “Sholom -2000”.
“About 460 athletes took part in the Children's-2000 children's sports festival. Young athletes came from the Khabarovsk and Primorsky regions, the Amur, Sakhalin and Chita regions, from the Jewish autonomous region. Several Chinese tennis players became the sight of the current festival. Thanks to them, the celebration acquired the status of the international.
Opening the festival, the chairman of the Scholoma organizing committee V.S. Gurevich, Deputy Mayor of Birobidzhan L.S. Korchminskaya and chief judge of the competition V.M. Sizov. After the opening of the festival of children's sports, buses brought athletes, coaches and judges in sites where the competitions should take place.
