“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs Romanian citizens who are located, transit or intend to travel to the Republic of Bulgaria that, on June 8, 2025, protest actions will be organized in several cities in this country”the ministry said in a statement.

In this context, road traffic on national roads could record temporary disturbances.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the drivers to be informed in time about the traffic conditions and to strictly comply with the provisions of the law enforcement authorities.

The ministry has reminded that Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the Romanian Embassy phone numbers in Sofia: +35929712858 and +35929733510, the appeals being redirected to the contact center of Romanian citizens from abroad (CCSCRS) and taken over by CALL Center operators.

Also, Romanian citizens who face a difficult, special, emergency situation have the emergency phone of the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Bulgaria: +359879440758.
