The Iranian state television claimed on Saturday that Iran has obtained “sensitive” documents about Israel, regarding Israeli nuclear installations, amid tensions between the two enemy countries and negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program, AFP also reports.

The source did not provide any explanation about these documents or how Iran would have obtained.

“The Iranian intelligence services have obtained a large amount of strategic and sensitive information and documents belonging to the Zionist regime, including thousands of documents regarding the regime's nuclear projects and installations,” said the state television from Tehran.

Iran, who made his support for the Palestinian cause a pillar of his external policy after the Islamic Revolution, does not recognize the state of Israel.

These statements come in the context of tensions related to the Iranian nuclear program, perceived by Israeli leaders as an existential threat to the Jewish state.

Western countries, in front of the US, and Israel, the latter being considered by experts as the only nuclear power in the Middle East, suspects Iran that he is trying to obtain nuclear weapons.

Iran denies that he would have such military ambitions, but insists on his right to use nuclear energy for civil purposes, especially for energy production.

According to stories from the American press, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would have been on this spring about ordering an Iranian nuclear installations, but was stopped by US President Donald Trump, who still threatened Iran with military actions if he did not conclude a new nuclear program, after the previous agreement, The US, also decided by Trump, in 2018, in his first term.

After the US then reinstated the sanctions against Iran, it intensified its enrichment of uranium up to 60%, already close to the 90% level needed to make an atomic bomb. The US and Iran started on April 12 indirect negotiations on the nuclear file, negotiations mediated by Oman, but which so far have not made progress.
