At PLN 566.6 billion, accounts and a subconto of insured persons increased as a result of the annual valorisation of contributions. For comparison – last year's increase amounted to PLN 521.6 billion – ZUS President Zbigniew Derdziuk informed PAP. The valorisation covered the accounts of 26.1 million people, and the sub -account 22.3 million people.
In June, as every year, ZUS was valorized by accounts and a subconto of insured persons. This is to compensate for, among others Last year's inflation and increase in the remuneration fund, which is taken into account when calculating contributions. The amounts saved on accounts and sub -subcons are the basis for calculating the amount of the pension after reaching the retirement age.
For valorisation, ZUS accepted the amounts of funds saved to the insured's account, initial capital and funds on the sub -account on January 31, 2024, and indicators: 114.41 percent. for retirement contributions and initial capital and 109.49 percent. for funds on the sub -account.
According to the president of ZUS, this year's June valorisation is record -breaking. He announced that the state of accounts and a sub -insurer sub -inspection increased by PLN 566.6 billion, for comparison – last year's increase amounted to PLN 521.6 billion.
“This means that this year's capital on the main account increased by 14.41 percent on the sub -account, in turn – by 9.49 percent the annual valorisation of the pension capital accumulated in ZUS on the account and sub -account affects the amount of pensions granted,” explained the president of ZUS.
He added that “the purpose of valorisation is to maintain the value of money and maintain the purchasing power of future benefits.”
ZUS said that this year's June indexation of the account covered over 26.1 million people, and the sub -account over 22.3 million people. Funds from initial capital were valorized for nearly 3.7 million people.
Data from the annual valorisations are already visible on the accounts and sub -subcons of insured and in June they will be visible to the insured on the ZUS electronic services platform. They will also be part of information about the status of the account on December 31, 2024, which ZUS prepares for each insured every year. (PAP)
