Superliga: midfielder Andrei Ciobanu signed with Steel Galaţi

Central midfielder Andrei Virgil Ciobanu, champion of Romania with Viitorul Constanţa and a component of several tricolor selected, has signed a 2-year contract with Otelul Galati and Monday will be present at the start of preparations for season 2025-2026, reports News.ro.
Born in Bârlad (Vaslui County), Andrei Ciobanu, 27, gave his agreement to represent the red-blue-blue group in the next two seasons, signing a contract due on June 30, 2027.
He is a central midfielder, but he can also work in the right band of the attack. The contract comes from Farul Constanţa, in a career spending important periods at Viitorul Constanţa (current Lighthouse), Rapid Bucharest, Poli Iaşi and FC Voluntari.
Considered since the age of the junior a remarkable talent of Romanian football, he has succeeded in 2016, since he has been contacting with first step football, notable performances:
- He won the title of champion of Romania with Viitorul Constanţa in 2017;
- He won the Romanian Cup with the future Constanta in 2019;
- participated in 2 European championships with the national team of Romania Under 21 in 2017 and 2019;
- He was part of the group of the first representative of Romania at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics;
- He ticked 197 matches in Superliga, scoring 18 goals and offering 14 assists;
- He played 18 Romanian Cup games (2 goals, 2 decisive passes);
- He participated in official games in the UEFA Youth League, but also in the Europa League preliminaries
