IT Holding T1 announced the need to more often update educational programs in Russian universities

Educational programs in universities must be updated more often than once a year – this will allow graduates to solve business tasks immediately after graduation.

This was stated by Ekaterina Kolesnikova, Deputy General Director of IT HR IT HR for HR, at the session “Personnel for the Economics of Data. Preparation of new generation IT specialists ”as part of the CIPR-2025. At the same time, the expert noted that the training of competent personnel is a common task for universities, business and mincifers.

More than 27 thousand employees work in IT Holding T1. According to Ekaterina Kolesnikova, today business needs personnel who are ready to work with applied tasks immediately after graduation, which is why the holding enable students to get acquainted with real business cases. And, of course, the Minzifra plays a key role in the training of such specialists, which stimulates business and educational institutions for cooperation.

“IT Holding T1 is actively working with students, for example, with MAI, we launched a magistracy according to big data and machine learning. This year, T1 with six large universities won the Minzifra competition to create joint basic -breeding programs. Such cooperation allows future specialists to understand what tasks are facing business today, and IT companies-to share important competencies with universities that the market players need here and now. We also see the demand for additional education among students, ”Yekaterina Kolesnikova shared.

Last year, T1 launched two large educational projects. So, more than 3,000 applications were collected for participation in the IT Lager T1: 1000 people studied online, 158 went to offline staple and about 130 were hired in T1. And thanks to “open schools T1”, more than 1,500 students and specialists with little experience in two months studied in demand IT. Moreover, in conditions when the Hard Skills necessary for work quickly become obsolete or change, basic knowledge, including in the field of physics, is of great importance in IT industries, the expert emphasized. In addition, meta-skills are important for IT specialists, which will help to quickly retrain into a new profession.

“In companies from candidates, adaptability, the ability to continuous training, critical thinking skills, as well as leadership competencies are expected. We see that the trend for leaving guidelines is growing, however, the ability to work in a team and manage people will be all in demand in companies. Therefore, we in every possible way stimulate the development of this skill-so, in one of our focal universities, top-managers T1 lectures on improving leadership qualities, ”said Ekaterina Kolesnikova.
