The Queen of the Netherlands presented the church in the Czech Republic a bell made of Russian weapons

The transfer to the Council of the “Bell of Freedom” took place in the presence of President of the Czech Republic Peter Pavel and his wife of Eva.

The Catholic priest Tomash Galik consecrated the bell. During the ceremony, he urged to pray for the cessation of wars and violence, for peace and justice, as well as for the cessation of war in Ukraine, emphasizing that “it was time to turn military weapons into bells of the world.”

After consecration, Galik told Radio Praha that the bell was created in the Royal Workshop in the Netherlands, the idea of its creation belongs to the Embassy of the Netherlands in the Czech Republic.

The priest reminded the verse from the Bible: “Grind your shouts into swords” and noted that “weapons of violence and hatred will turn into a bell of freedom.”

The bell was cast at the foundry in Ostrava (Czech Republic), they plan to raise it to the bell tower in the fall.

For the manufacture of the bell, in particular, part of the Russian S-300 rocket, released in Ukraine, as well as many small crosses symbolizing the victims of Russian aggression in Ukraine, were used.
