Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have analyzed the opportunity to change their last name in Spencer, in the context of several months-long delays that have passed until their two children received British passports, writes The Guardian, quoted by the Reuters news agency.
Prince Harry, who holds the title of Duke of Sussex, believed that delay in issuing passports could have been caused by certain British officials who were using the use of Sussex family and HRH (HIS/Her Royal Highness – His Royal High.
Another source told Reuters that the British prince met with Charles Spencer, his mother's brother, Princess Diana, to discuss the question of the family name. The source also said that the information appeared in the press is inaccurate that Charles Spencer advised Prince Harry to not change his last name and told him that the legal obstacles to do so are insurmountable.
Prince Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III, gave up his royal duties in 2020 and moved to California, where he lives with Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
After leaving the United Kingdom, he and Meghan vehemently criticized the British Royal Family members in several TV documentaries, in an explosive interview with the American television presenter Oprah Winfrey and, especially, in the British Prince Biography, which became Bestseller.
Since then, Prince Harry's relationship with his father and his older brother, Prince William, the throne heir, has become a glacial.
In an interview with the BBC last month, Prince Harry said he wanted a reconciliation with the British royal family, but that his father, King Charles, no longer talks to him because of a separate dispute, who looked at his security during the visits made to the United Kingdom.
