In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the prosecutor's office helped a disabled child get vital medicines. This was reported in the press service of the supervisory authority.

The boy’s mother turned to the prosecutor’s office for help, she said that her young son was sick with diabetes and needs constant preferential drug support and adjusting the blood sugar. However, over the past 4 months, the family has problems with obtaining the necessary drugs.

“Despite the multiple requests of parents to local pharmacies, medicines were delivered untimely or not imported at all. This situation put the baby’s health at risk. In order to protect the rights of a disabled child, the prosecutor appealed to the court with a demand to oblige the Ministry of Health to provide pharmacies with medical devices in a timely manner, ”the department explained.

The court supported the position of the prosecutor's office and decided to immediately fulfill the requirement of the department. In addition, the boy received compensation for moral damage in the amount of 15 thousand rubles.

Now the prosecutor’s office continues to monitor compliance with the court decision.
