In the Sosnovoborsky district, police opened two criminal cases against a driver who was stopped with signs of intoxication. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region spoke about this.

At the beginning of May, in the village of Zykovo, traffic police officers stopped a car driven by a 38-year-old local resident. The man showed signs of alcohol intoxication, so he was asked to undergo a test.

The breathalyzer did not show the presence of alcohol, after which the driver was asked to undergo a medical examination. However, the man refused.

Later, the police found out that the driver had previously been brought to administrative and criminal liability for drunk driving more than once.

As a result, investigators of the Berezovsky Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia opened two criminal cases. The man is suspected of repeated driving while intoxicated (Part 2 Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as repeated driving after deprivation of a driver's license (according to Part 1 of Art. 264.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The offender's car was seized and placed in a special parking lot. The car has been seized.

The police remind us that refusal to undergo a medical examination may result in administrative liability, and in case of repeated violation – criminal liability.
