A resident of Tyumen tried to bring rare corals to Russia, which relate to disappearing species. He was detained at the Roshchino airport.
“The Tyumen customs officers found four raw Madrepor coral from a passenger who flew from Thailand from Thailand. The citizen transported the seashores in baggage, ”reports North Press with reference to Tyumen customs.
It turned out that the corals are protected by the City Convention. They can be transported across the border only in special cases. This needs a special resolution. The man explained that he found corals on the beach, but did not know about the ban.
An unusual souvenir was confiscated by court decision. In relation to the passenger, an administrative case was opened.
