The situation at Salina Praid has worsened. Raed Arafat announces emergency measures and brings international experts from four countries

In order to ensure the necessary, the distribution of 1.2 million liters of bottled water from the state reserves was approved, and if necessary, the quantity will be supplemented.

Arafat explained that the problem arose after the Corund stream flooded Salina Praid, seriously affecting the water quality and causing high salinity in the Târnăveni area.

In parallel, the authorities are working on a temporary solution to deviate the course of the Corund River, and eight international experts from Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Hungary will come to Romania to collaborate with the local specialists. They will evaluate the risks on the population, the environment and the structure of the praid saline.

The authorities have instituted alert state for 30 days in 16 localities in the county, and the ministries of the economy and the environment are involved in establishing the long -term technical solutions.

Experts have reported significant structural damage to the salt mine, due to recent floods, and say that there is a risk that the ceiling of the former collapsed.
