Carlos Alcaraz (22 years old, 2 ATP) qualified in the Roland Garros semifinals, after a victory without emotions in front of Tommy Paul (28 years, 12 ATP), score 6-0, 6-1, 6-4. In the penultimate act of the competition, the Paris en-tite champion will take place with Lorenzo Musetti (23 years old, 7 ATP).
The evening session from Roland Garros brought the confrontation between Carlos Alcaraz, one of the main favorites to win the trophy, and Tommy Paul, a athlete with very solid developments so far.

Carlos Alcaraz lost only 5 games in the duel with Tommy Paul
After numerous discussions about the lack of constant in his game and about the unconvincing performances in Paris, Alcaraz played at an incredible level against Paul. Except for the second game, which was very balanced, the Spaniard dominated the first set, found some impressive blows and imposed 6-0.
Alcaraz continued to dominate the game in the second set, while the American was unanswered in front of an explosive opponent. The world number 2 played with great strength, precision and determination and awarded its set 2 by 6-1.
In the third set, Paul raised his level, took advantage of Alcaraz's fatigue and led several times, managing to defend his service. Things changed at 4-4, when the 22-year-old player made a new break and then closed the match on his own service: 6-0, 6-1, 6-4.
After only an hour and 36 minutes, Victoria returned to Carlos Alcaraz, who qualified in the penultimate act of the competition. In the semifinals Roland Garros, he will meet Lorenzo Musetti, who defeated 3-1 (6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2) on American Frances Tiafoe (27, 16 ATP).

Carlos Alcaraz: “It's one of those matches where everything works”
I could have closed my eyes and it would have entered everything in the field. I felt extraordinary. I thought of nothing but hitting 100%. It's one of those matches where everything works.
I played quarters at Roland Garros and it is never simple in such parties. I have often played against Tommy. I defeated me twice in the past. It was not simple, but I tried to focus on what I had to do. I wanted not to let him go back to the match. He's an exceptional player.
I would say it's a special tour for me. Every time I come here is a special feeling. I want to advance as much as possible to feel the energy of the fans. Are in the semifinals for the third time in a row and try to enjoy the moment and continue to fight.
I always like to play here. I know you wanted to see more tennis but I had to do my duty. It's great to be able to play in front of you. All I can say is that thank you for coming and supporting me
