Elimination of holiday vouchers, antenna and doctoral increase, discussed in Cotroceni by the parties' work group

On Monday, June 2, the meeting of the working group was held for cutting the budgetary expenses, made up of PSD, PNL, USR and UDMR representatives, in which it was discussed the elimination of holiday vouchers, antenna and doctoral increase and food allowance.

According to G4 Media, there are several proposals from the representatives of the four parties, which aim either to halve these benefits received by the state employees or their elimination.
Regarding the food allowance, it refers to the state employees with net salaries of up to 8,000 lei. They receive a monthly allowance of about 190 lei net. Exceptions to the staff of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Justice, the employees of the National Penitentiary Administration, SRI, STS, of the National Administration of State Reserves and Special Problems, which benefit from the feed rights regulated by another legislation.
The working group also includes the representatives of the Presidential Administration, who will elaborate a plan of measures intended to reduce public spending, which will be assumed and implemented by the future government.
The working group requested relevant data from the Ministry of Finance last week. Romania has the largest budget deficit in the EU and is under market pressure.
Experts claim that it is necessary to decrease public spending and increase in taxes and taxes. Nicușor Dan promised in the election campaign that he wants to avoid tax increases.
