“Act of terrorism” in the USA. The attacker “set fire to people” in the shopping center

Six people, aged 67 to 88, were injured – some with serious burns – as a result of a brutal attack that occurred in the Pearl Street Mall shopping center in Boulder in Colorado. The man, screaming “Free Palestine”, threw Molotov in the gathered cocktails and used a makeshift flamethrower – reports BBC.
The attack took place during a weekly demonstration organized by the Run For Their Lives Group, which supports Israeli hostages detained in the Gaza Strip. The head of the police at Boulder Stephen Redfearn announced that the officers arrived after receiving the report about an armed striker who was to “set fire to people”.
Boulder attack. The FBI qualified the incident as an act of terrorism
According to witnesses, the attacker used a “provisional fire pmery and threw an incendiary in the crowd”, causing confusion and burns among the participants of the rally. The FBI identified the suspect as a 45-year-old Mohamed Sabra Soliman. He was detained immediately.
– It is obvious that this is a directed act of violence, and the FBI conducts an investigation in this matter as an act of terrorism. Unfortunately, such attacks become too common throughout the country – said Mark Michalek during the conference, which manages the FBI office in Denver.
The Prosecutor General of the State of Colorado Phil Weiser pointed out that the attack was most likely powered by hatred and recognized him as a crime motivated by prejudices. -People may have different views on the world's events and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but violence is never a response to the differences of sentences. There is no place in Colorado for hatred, “said Weiser in a Sunday statement.
