The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, and his wife visited the stalls of a literary fair in Kiev on Friday, and bought, among other things, the book “Kill the tyrant. The history of tyranny in Caesar to Gaddafi”, according to a post of the president on Telegram.

During the three years of war with Russia, Zelenski repeatedly described Russian President Vladimir Putin as a dictator. According to Reuters, the Ukrainian leader did not reveal if, by purchasing the book, he intended to send a message to his Kremlin counterpart.

A post from his telegram account shows that the President of Ukraine has taken a version in the Ukrainian language of the book written by the Italian academic Aldo Andrea Casi.

In one of the photos published can be seen the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, browsing a copy of the book, while her husband was standing next to her. Volodimir Zelenski said he was just one of the many books he and his wife took from the Kiev Fair.

The complete title of the original book, in Italian, is: “Il Tiranno: Storia de tyrannicido da Cesare of Geddafi” (“to kill a tyrant; a history of tyrannic from Caesar to Gaddafi”). The book was published in Italian in 2022 and, according to the summary published by the editor, raises the following question: “Is it correct or wrong to kill a tyrant? And if it is, who decides?”.

The war in Ukraine entered February in the fourth year, and in May, in Istanbul, the first face -to -face discussions took place between representatives of Kiev and Moscow after 2022. The Russian part proposed to organize a new round of discussion, also in Turkey, on June 2, but for now Volodimir Zelenski has not confirmed the event.

The permanent representative of Russia at the United Nations, Vasili Nebenzia, said on the UN Security Council on Friday that a simple cessation of fire is not enough to end the Ukraine war, but “its deep causes” must be addressed, according to Sky News.
