Several households and land, but also a farm are affected by floods caused by the huge flow of the Olt river, and seven people were evacuated on Thursday night to Podu Olt, from Brașovean commune. The intervention crews also act in the town of Șona, where there is also an increase in the level of the river water.

“Following the abundant rainfall, the Olt river has exceeded the quota, causing floods in the Podu Olt area. A number of 6 households, several lands and a farm have been affected. More than 500 animals have already been evacuated (cows, sheep, lambs, vines), and the inhabitants of the areas at risk were warned and 7 people were warned. Brașov constantly intervenes and monitors the situation in the field to protect the population, goods and animals”, States ISU Brașov.
