In Krasnoyarsk, fragments of ancient ceramic vessels were found at the site of the future “Suriks-center”. Archaeologists estimated their age at 5-6 thousand years. This was told by the head of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov.

Also, valuable specimens of the XIX and early XX centuries were found on the site. This is a medallion, the remnants of the dishes of the Kuznetsov Porcelain Plant, the token of the cabman, buttons of frock coats, coins, underwear, and much more. Archaeological finds will fall into the Museum of Vasily Surikov. Excavations are planned to be completed before the end of June.

Recall that the “Surikov-Center” will be built behind the museum-estate, from its north side. He It should become a unique cultural space that continues the traditions of the historical estate, but with a modern context. The designers took the chest of architectural and artistic solutions by Vasily Ivanovich’s chest, which he went to him from his great-grandfather, in which the artist kept his many sketches. The center itself will be two -story, and the basement is also provided. One of the “chips” of the suuriks will become a foyer: three large lamps in the form of birches will be installed in it-this is a reference to the trees that the artist planted.
