Moving to Orlen, Short on CCC and company results. The Polish stock exchange is growing on Wednesday

The Polish stock exchange did much better on Wednesday than base markets. The WSE indexes ended the session in a clear plus. The greatest turnover was generated by trade in Orlen's shares, a short position revealed on CCC shares led to the discount on the company's values, and Asseco's results surprised the analysts.

WIG20 gained 0.82% on Tuesday and finished the session at 2,836.66 points. WIG increased by 0.88% and reached 103,870 points. MWIG40 managed the best among the leading WSE indexes, which re -covered the level of 8000 points, increasing by 1.31%. SWIG80 ended the session by gaining 0.56%.

The value of turnover on the Warsaw Stock Exchange exceeded PLN 2.3 billion, of which PLN 1.89 billion concerned companies from the WIG20 index. The highest value of turnover took place at Orlen shares (PLN 453 million), PKO BP (PLN 227 million) and CCC (PLN 158 million).

The GPW was doing much better on Wednesday than base markets. When at 17:00 the main trade in American indexes ended in Warsaw – S&PC and NASDAQ – they fell by 0.17% and 0.11%, respectively. German Dax lost 0.72%at that time, and the French CAC40 reduced by 0.48%. WIG20 was one of the strongest indexes in the world that day.

Among the Blue WSE chips, the largest increases concerned the Allegro campaign on Thursday. The company's quotations gained 4.93%on that day, and the rally on its values ​​coincided with the presentation of a package of changes for sellers that it intends to introduce in June and July – including Increase in advertising rates and a reduction in the minimum basket value in the Allegro Pay Business service.

Orlen's shares increased by 2.69% and were at the highest closure level for almost 3 years. For the last time, the company's ratings were so high at the beginning of August 2022. It is also worth paying attention to the particularly high turnover on the company's shares, which reached 453 million zlotys on Wednesday. DM BOŚ raised the target price for Orlen's ratings to PLN 90.

After presenting the results, 2.47% gained PGE shares. In the first quarter of 2025, the company generated a net profit of PLN 2.42 billion, which corresponded to its preliminary estimates. “In mid -June we will announce a strategy, so we will probably tell more about it in this document,” said PGE Vice President Przemysław Jastrzębski during the PGE conference, when asked when the company returns to the dividend payment.

In addition to the three -mentioned three, over 2% also gained Pepco shares (exactly 2.14%). PZU shares increased by 1.48%. The company reported on Wednesday that already in August its first fund will start exposing to investors to a bitcoin course.

On the opposite side of the market in the Blue Chips index there are 3.65% CCC shares discounted by 3.65%. The sale on the value could cause a new item in the KNF short sales register. Marshall Wace LLP revealed with a short net of 0.51% net on CCC actions.

Asecco reigned among the average companies on Wednesday, whose shares gained as much as 9.84%after the presentation of the results. Analysts pointed to a clear increase in the dynamics of the company's order portfolio, improvement of margin and potential to increase revenues. A net profit of PLN 136 million was also positive.

In MWIW40, also after the results, the shares of Wirtualna Polska were most powerful, which lost 4.30%on Wednesday. The net profit of the unit of the dominant company in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to PLN 10 million against PLN 13.3 million.

In the wide market, investors' eyes focused on Rafamet shares, which gained as much as 37.04%. Wind in sails of the company's quotations added information about the conclusion of an investment agreement with the Industrial Development Agency. As part of it, the ARP may recapitalize the company with a total of 80 million, and in the first tranche of the rafamet will go to the rafamet PLN 30 million.

In turn, 25.30% gained the share price of Render Cube, whose management recommended a dividend payment of PLN 14.5 million, i.e. PLN 13.5 per value. The company's shareholders will go to her entire year's profit of PLN 7.15 million.
