“On the first day of March in the intra-Carpathian regions the sky will be more clear, beautiful weather, variable sky at night and fog will form in some places. In the rest of the country it will be cloudy and locally fog will form, isolated with a cloud deposit. The maximum temperatures will be between 8 and 17 degrees Celsius, and the minimum between -11 degrees (in eastern Transylvania) and up to 6 degrees (in the Western Hills)”. stated for “Adevărul” Raul Ilia, ANM meteorologist.

The weather during March 2-4

“March 2nd will be a similar day, with warmer weather, also, than usual, with maximum temperatures between 9 and 17 degrees and minimum temperatures between -5 (in eastern Transylvania) and 5 degrees (in the Western Hills and in the Danube Delta). There will be temporary clouds, and at night, there will be light rain in the north-eastern part of the country. The wind will blow weak and moderate”, said the meteorologist.

And on March 3, the weather will remain warm, with maximums between 8 and 18 degrees, while minimum temperatures will be between -9 degrees (in the depressions of the Eastern Carpathians) and 6 degrees (in the Western Hills). It will rain isolated in the eastern part of the country, and some intensification of the wind is expected in Moldova and Dobrogea.

Next, “March 4th will bring beautiful weather in most parts of the country, with highs between 8 and 16 degrees and lows between -7 and 6 degrees. There will be temporary clouds, and towards the end of the night, light rain will be possible in the southwestern part of the country.” Raul Ilia said.

After March 5th, temperatures will be average for early March.

What will the weather be like in Bucharest in the first days of spring

“In Bucharest, on March 1, the weather will warm up, with a maximum of 11 degrees and a minimum between -4 and -1 degrees. No rain, no wind” said the meteorologist.

On March 2, Monday, the weather will be even warmer, with highs between 13 and 15 degrees, and lows of at most -2 degrees.

On March 3, the minimums will also be plus, between 0 and 3 degrees Celsius.

What will the weather be like in the mountains?

Winter sports lovers will enjoy artificial snow on the slopes, because no snow is forecast in the mountains in the first week of March.

“From the estimates we have now, as a trend of the weather evolution, from March 6 – in principle – snow will make its presence felt in the mountain area, but, depending on the evolution and intensity of the phenomena, we will come back with an update”said meteorologist Raul Ilia.
