“Sorrel -a perennial, wintering well, a plant that gives very early greens under the snow. It tolerates frosts to -7 ° C, seeds at 3 ° C germinate. For the development and growth of sorrel, the temperature is optimal in the range of 15–23 ° C. With stable hot weather, the span forms peduncles,” the material notes.
Spring should be grown on a fertile medium and alloy soil, which is well moistened. After four years in one section, sorrel is transferred to a new place, because the quality of the leaves begins to deteriorate, the number of peduncles increases. In the leaves, the level of oxalic acid rises.
Spring seeds before sowing need to be wetted. The depth of sowing should be 1-2 cm, a row – 20 cm, the distance in the row is 5 cm. If the soil is waterlogged, it is better to sow in stripes: several rows in each, at a distance of 50 cm from each other.
They fertilize sorrel with a solution of mullein or bird droppings (1:10) or a mixture of fertilizers of 20 g: superphosphate – 1 m², urea – 2 m², potassium salt – for 5 m².
The plot with sorrel is watered three times 20 liters per 1 m².
