The Minister of the Environment, Water and Forests, Mircea Fechet, who came to Covasna County on Wednesday to verify the mobilization of the teams and the coordination of the interventions in the areas in danger of floods, said that in Băcel the situation is critical, the next 24 hours being decisive, informs Agerpres.
According to him, Covasna County is under the Red Code of rain until Thursday at noon, the soil is completely saturated with water and the people in the intervention teams, who try to stop the water with sandbags, are very tired.
“One by one, we want very much and hope to pass this night well, because, although the weather conditions and the forecasts are easily favorable to yesterday, the situation is still critical, because the soil is oversized with water, because the people are exhausted, because the locals are scared and what I hope, we can say that I can say that I can say that, We consider that, at least for this area, the danger is exceeded, ”said the Minister of the Environment.

Regarding the flood protection system, the Minister of the Environment has recognized the lack of major investments in recent years and promised that the necessary works will be financed.
