The court sentenced the ex-mayor of Belgorod Anton Ivanov to 10 years in prison and a fine of 11 million rubles
The former head of the city was found guilty of receiving bribes and abuse of powers.
He was detained back in March 2023 – on charges that are associated with the period of his work by the general director of the Belgorod Mortgage Corporation (he worked there before he became the mayor).
The post of head of Belgorod Ivanov held From December 2021 to October 2022.
