Adrian Mititelu still believes that Craiova University has been uninjected. On June 3, 2025, at the Bucharest Court, the first term of the file 43304/3/2024 will take place, by which the businessman hopes for compensation of millions of euros.
On July 20, 2011, the FRF Executive Committee decided the provisional disaffiliation of the University of Craiova, with 10 votes for and two abstentions (Marius Stan, Marian Părie – representative of women's football). The decision was confirmed in May 2012 by May 2012 the General Assembly of the Federation, with 168 votes for, 18 abstentions, 5 against.
When everything seemed closed, Adrian Mititelu resorted to an exceptional appeal. In August 2024his lawyers registered in the Bucharest Court a request to review the file in which Mircea Sandu and Dumitru Dragomir had been acquitted by the Court of Appeal in 2017.

Now, edition.ro, the site owned by Adrian Mititelu, announces “the beginning of the process of the century”The first term was scheduled for June 3, 2025, at the Bucharest Court.
According to the quoted source, the applicants request “Huge damage but also the restoration of the parties in the situation before July 20, 2011”. Specifically, the return of the team to the first league, instead of the current band trained by Mirel Rădoi.
The history of the whole case:
- July 2011 – The FRF Executive Committee decides the provisional disability of Craiova University, with 10 votes for and two abstentions (Marius Stan, Marian Părie – women's football representative)
- May 2012 – The FRF General Assembly validates the CEx decision and confirms the official disaffiliation of the club in Bănie (168 votes for, 18 abstentions, 5 against)
- June 2013 – DNA sue Sandu and Dragomir for abuse of office, the use of influence or authority to obtain for themselves or for another money, goods or undue benefits and evading goods under seizure (39 players left free of contract, although the Treasury had put their contracts for the recovery of a debt of 16 million lei).
- June 2016 – Mircea Sandu and Dumitru Dragomir are sentenced in the first instance by the Bucharest Court: 3 years with suspension, 3 months of work for the community, 80,000 lei fine. In addition, FRF and LPF criminally fined with 370,000 lei. Adrian Mititelu should receive compensation worth about 220 million euros, supported by Sandu, Dragomir, FRF and LPF.
- June 2017 – Sandu and Dragomir are paid at the Court of Appeal, final decision. The sentence comes as a result of a fresh decision of the Constitutional Court (405/2017), by which the abuse in service is discriminated by the violation of secondary legislation (FRF statute), inferior to the primary one (law, ordinance).
