The equipment of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station was prepared for the thunder period

The personnel of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station traveled for the upcoming thunderstorm period of 2025. The main task of power engineers in this crucial period is to ensure the safe, reliable and effective functioning of the station, uninterrupted supply of consumers with electric energy.

Responsible units of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station established interaction with the territorial bodies of Roshydromet to obtain forecasts about the time and nature of thunderclivery. With the Ministry of Emergencies and local authorities, an interaction agreement has been reached to prevent possible accidents.

Specialists of the production and technical service completed a planned inspection of buildings, structures and equipment, checked the schemes of thunderstorm protection. Inspections of distribution devices, air lines and air transitions were carried out.

Employees of the station evaluated the serviceability of thunderous cables, lightning rods, discharge and grounding devices. The personnel of the Service for the Technological Systems of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station checked the readiness of devices and relay protection and automation complexes, emergency registrars and processes, and determination of the damage sites. All equipment passed maintenance on the established schedule.

Throughout the thunderstorm period, energy will control the condition of the routes of the air transmission lines, check the distance from the power transmission to the nearest objects, and, if necessary, clean the clearings from vegetation. For personnel of the operational service, an emergency training was carried out, during which employees determined the “places of damage” on power lines using fixing devices.

In the event that the equipment is turned off due to the thunderstorms, experts will register and analyze each case in order to increase the reliability of the protection of buildings and structures of the hydroelectric power station.
