Cities in Romania with the highest “food inflation” / where you can find the cheapest consumption basket in the country

Ploiești, Iași, Bistrița and Satu Mare are the cities with the highest increases of a basket consisting of 10 foods. At the opposite pole is Râmnicu Vâlcea, Slatina, Alba Iulia and Alexandria, where the price of the same food basket has decreased, according to the data provided by the National Institute of Statistics.
In the calculation of the consumer basket were taken into account 10 products: potatoes, dried beans, dried onion, autumn cabbage, dry garlic, carrots, apples, cow's milk, sheep's cheese, honey bees and eggs.

As examples, the most expensive potatoes are in Bucharest, followed by Calarasi, Arad, Timișoara and Oradea. The cheapest potatoes in we find in Slatina and Tulcea.
The most expensive eggs (2 lei/piece) are in Baia Mare and Focșani, and the cheapest, in Slatina and Botosani.
Cluj and Miercurea Ciuc are the localities in which the beans are the most expensive, and in Slatina and Slobozia it is the cheapest.
If we look at the net salaries in the county capitals, things change a little. In Focșani, the purchase of a basket consisting of the 10 products swallow 90% of an employee's daily salary. From this point of view, of the percentage of the salary that swallow the shopping of the 10 products, the county ranking changes, the capital being the most advantageous.

The most expensive consumption basket is in Cluj-Napoca
In Cluj, to buy the ones one kg of the 10 products you pay almost 200 lei, while in Slobozia the same products would cost you about 125 lei.
Cluj is followed by Timișoara, Galați, Timișoara and Sfântu Gheorghe.
The capital is only in the 5th place as the level of the prices of the 10 products taken into account, although it has the highest salaries in the country.
