In addition, as part of the visit, the parties plan to discuss Turkish-Russian relations, in particular, cooperation in the fields of trade, energy and tourism, as well as regional issues (Syria, Gaza sector, South Caucasus).

The agency recalled that Fidan visited Russia in June 2024, where he took part in a meeting of BRICS – the interstate alliance of the five countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa. He also accompanied Turkish President Recep Erdogan at the Brix summit in October.
