“We came to Poland as a friend for having the same vision and the same priorities. We came to thank Polish that helped us during our European course. A word of” thank you “for Prime Minister Tusk, who had a very strong support in our presidential campaign a week ago. The choices are about communities and the values that define these communities, “said Dan in Romanian, his message being translated into Polish.
He spoke about the common values of the two countries, the importance of belonging to the community block.
“The values that define us are: democracy, freedom of expression and the rule of law. The choices are also about pragmatism in the life of each of us. In an intense global competition, we can only develop ourselves in a powerful European Union. I believe in a powerful Polish, in a powerful European Union,” said Dan.
He stated that he wants Romania and Poland to collaborate, reminding Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski, the mayor of Warsaw who aspires to the position of president.
“Last Sunday I won the presidential election in Romania. People rejected the insulation and Russian influence. People chose seriousness, honesty and respect for the law. People have chosen the facts and not words. These are the values in which I believe and which Rafał Trzaskowski finds.
In conclusion, the president of Romania also sent a message in the Polish language: “We want to repeat in Poland last week in Romania.”
